Life Update: Depression, Weight Loss and A Big Thank You!

Hello all of you wonderful people. I haven’t really been updating this site or my YouTube channel lately, and I wanted to explain a little about why. Basically, I’ve been suffering from a particularly bad bout of depression lately, and it’s had me unable to be creative. I haven’t wanted to make videos or work on any projects, so I have just been focusing on paid work for my main blog and trying to deal with my crumbling mental state. But I did feel like I owed an explanation to all those who have been sending comments and messages asking where I’ve been.

One of the biggest requests I’ve had lately is to share what is going on with my weight loss journey. If you haven’t seen my Bullet Journal Weight Loss spread, you should check it out so you can see the fun ways I’m keeping track. But since I haven’t updated since I created it and declared myself on the road to better health, some people were getting curious. So I decided to talk a little about what’s going on.

Basically, as I explained in the video, I have started on a Ketogenic Diet – otherwise known as low carb, high fat. It’s a way of eating that has been working for me, and I’ve been able to lose just under 12 lbs in five weeks. I don’t want to get too much into it here since I’ve heard from all sides about it, but if you want to know more about it and its effect on me, go ahead and watch the video.

All I can say is that I have lost weight AND inches and have had no trouble sticking to it. And it’s been great fun to see my BuJo updated with all my new stats.

Finally, I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all those who are subscribed to my YouTube channel. I just realized that I hit over 400 subscribers, and that was so awesome! So I have decided that when I hit 500, I’m going to hold a big giveaway to thank everyone. I’m looking for good ideas of things you would all love to see as prizes. I’m also looking for good video ideas or art projects, lettering projects, crafts or bullet journal spreads you’d like to see. So please do leave a comment with any ideas! I would LOVE to hear them.

That’s it for now. I promise I will be back SOON with a more interesting post. Until then!
